Fistly you have the dualality of sun and moon, male and female, the crows or ravens, as well as the eight rays of the sun (slepnir, the eight legged stead), on the sun linking it with Odin and Apollo, and thus the male shamanic principles, and sun worship, as well as the right side of the brain, that suggests rationality, and reason.
At the bottom the moon, with its strange faces and multicoloured hands (blue and gold being representational of receptivity and potential), link it to the lunacy of Diania, and the left brain, artistic, other worldly and so on.
The two lunar hands are grabbing towards the seeker of wisdom, the winged would be seeker of wisdom, whose hands are grasped in either anxiety or in an arcane fashion. One upwards one downwards, showing "that which is above, so below". Which to me implies along with the wings (Imagination?) that the seeker is attempting to walk a path between the realms of the sun and moon. Perhaps in this way an artist, which tries to bring the right brain and left brain working together.
each side of the seeker, we then have another dualality - Underground and above ground. the cockroach and piping showing the perhaps distastefullness of the underground of a city life, though as depicted on the other side, is atleast outside of the ever watchful public (and by extension the police) of the above ground.
So in summary, I think what this depicts is the seeker attempting balance in all dualities, between day and night, and between private and public.
Nice work!
